WHAT IS THE ART OF INTENTIONAL EATING?
The Art of Intentional Eating combines mindfulness and practical skills to teach our community to breakdown diet myths and nurture a positive relationship with food and the body. We offer several formats to learn mindful eating, including a 10-week educational group series; a full-day experiential intensive; and community education workshops.
Our signature series is a 10-session educational and interactive group incorporating mindfulness, meditation and nutritional planning skills to assist participants in resolving emotional and mindless eating patterns thus improving their relationship with food and themselves. The group is designed with evidence-based interventions that have been shown to effectively reduce overeating and increase ability to normalize eating. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice skills in a group setting and then take additional materials home to further improve their progress.
AOE COMMUNITY SUPPORT GROUP - NOW OFFERED VIRTUALLY!
Our monthly community group provides a space for people working towards a positive relationship with food to come together and share their experiences. Rejecting diet mentality is a brave step and can often feel lonely when the culture that surrounds you is so weight focused! Our Signature Series Group is ten weekly sessions with a one month post-group follow up.
Group Topics include:
Understanding your current behaviors and relationship with food
Becoming aware of your hunger and fullness by tuning into your body and responding to its cues
Essential nutrition education to assist in creating a balanced eating pattern
Untangling emotional eating patterns, craving and triggers to better equip yourself to eat mindfully
Learning to give yourself permission to eat challenging or binge foods in moderation
Practicing daily mindfulness and meditation to reduce anxiety and bring balance to your life
Creating a healthy community environment of support with family and friends

Art of Intentional Eating is thrilled to now offer yoga classes that are made for every-body! Our classes are deep stretch and slow-flow styles designed for anyone from beginning to advanced practitioner to deeply connect with their body in a loving and compassionate way.
